Interpreter services, interpreter training, AHEC scholars program, Promotores de Salud (trains hispanic women and men to be lay health resource persons in their community), promotores de salud junior program
Who we primarily serve
Communities who have barriers to health and human services. Specifically in the harrisonburg community we generally serve the Latinx community as well as those who may need lagnuage services in health settings for Arabic, Kurdish, Russian, Spanish, Tigrinya, and Ukrainian, Amharic, Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, Farsi, French, and Swahili
Activities
Activities mainly include interpreter training at the Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, Va
Teen Opportunities
Teens can utilize the interpreter services as well as participate in the promotores de salud jr program
